Post RESULTS! mustang vs SNOW TRIP

Well, I made it to connecticut. All was well, until I forgot to change the o2 sensor's. I usually do every 20,000 miles. Gas milage was so so going up. The second time was worse. So I remember abou the 02 sensors. Before the 02 sensors were install, I got with a full tank, 325 miles. Then I filled her up again and got 320 when the car was about to cut off. there were no gas station. So I got 02 sensors, installed them behind the auto parts store and went on my way. This time I got, 335 miles to the whole tank, and the fourth time I filled up I got 356 miles to the whole tank. The car ran great all the way. NEW YORK CITY has the worse roads Iv'e ever seen. Not recomended for a mustang to go buy there. But The snow here was all on the grass, the roads were dry. Anyways when I had to go up to the parking, there was a little slush and yes you guess it, no traction. The car is covered now and I will only use it when the sun is out full blast and the snow is clear on the road. Well thats all. Thanks for everything.

Glad to hear you made it okay! Hmm with that kinda gas mileage increase maybe I'll replace my O2 sensors.

Like I said in my last post, good luck in Bridgeport. I live in North Haven, which is about 30 minutes away (I wish I was further). I will quote myself:"Bridgeport is the armpit of CT".
Just be careful where you park that thing. No doubt it will be gone if you keep it ANYWHERE in Bridgeport too long. Don't mean to scare you, but I have also heard that there is a VERY small part of that fine city where it is safe.
If you want, I could fill you in on some good spots to find some action. They are a little far from you, about an hour or so, but in the Spring, everybody flocks. You can find any kind of race you want there.

LX XLR8R I ran a year ago and did mid to upper 13's with bad street tires. And Hey GREENLX92 I live in a secure place in trumbull but I might not be here for long. I got a better job offer in Charolete NC excuse me for my spelling. I never been there but I hope its better. The neighborhood is good but I'll look into it. If anyone know about that city let me know. I will leave friday. Anyways 02 sensors did help and the car feels better

89FHPLX is getting such good gas mileage because of his rear end gears. I too can get about 340-350 miles on a tank of gas. I have a 3.08 rear end with the stock manual tranny, and even at 65-70 I'm still only turning about 2000 rpm. I only run 89 octane...have run the high grade and don't notice any difference in how well the car runs or increase in gas mileage...best mileage so far was 30 mpg on the highway on Mobil 89 after an oil change and replacing my spark plugs! It's a sad day though when my 5.0 gets better gas mileage than my 4 cylinder Tacoma! (I know an import...but hey, I couldn't afford the FORD truck I wanted so I had to settle for less...at least I'm got the right car on the road!)
