crown vic 302??

i am wondering if the 91 crown vic 302 is the same engine that was put into mustangs?

i believe it is realitivly the same, there may be some minor differences like a slightly different intake and such. its should work in a swap though, can't see it not working.

Crown Victoria 302's were different because they were the non High output 302. The differences i can remember are:
Different firing order
smaller camshaft
Cast pistons.
I'm not sure if they had the E7TE truck heads at that point, so they probably have different cylinder heads.
They also had cast iron exhaust manifolds and i believe the intake manifold had smaller ports, which doesn't matter if you're swapping the engine.
All you'd have to do is reroute the spark plug wires for the firing order and it will run in your mustang. You'll probably lose 30 or so horsepower with that engine though even with the mustang intake and exhaust manifolds.
