After tax title and license fees about $29,000 respectably. These days I think its cheaper to lease these things.

Ok, I found out I can get X-Plan pricing through my work (same deal ford employees get...I think it is 4% invoice). I should find out exactly how much that is this weekend. I hate leasing :).

P.S. How do mustang owners feel about the G35s? I am also considering getting a new G35 instead (I would keep my current stang to handle the modding bug and more importantly to 'keep it real').

Any thoughts?

Hmm the G35...
I have always liked the styling - and they move pretty good. It has the same problem that the 350z has in that it feels heavy. Personally I would go with the 350Z instead of the G35 - its more of a sporty car, and a tad lighter. Still the 350z is a two seater so if you need a back seat go with the G35 - definitely more luxurious. The look incredible in black!

But I wouldn't trade one for my 04 GT....

Re: 2006 GT Prices

I love the bore on the Infiniti G35 exhausts, they have a great sound..but they're not designed for the same purpose as the Mustang..they're more geared towards the sport/luxury of new car owners and don't provide the same kind of fun that the Mustang does. And remember the 350z has a V6 engine. I've noticed that people who own both V8 muscle cars and V6 luxury sport cars with manual trannys' try to drive them the same way, reminds me of when I test drove a 2002 V6 Mustang with a short-shifter..I smelled clutch pretty quick. Why not combine bank rolls for a new Corvette with a 6-speed automatic..now THAT'll suit both your needs and more...

I couldn't agree with you more on that last note...

Even all the new "sport luxury" cars have oodles of horsepower, the gearing on them kills em quick. I can't count how many times I have eaten up Luxury sport cars with 300+ HP with my minimally modified 04 GT.

Still for the price of an 06 G35 - you can find a nice 03-05 Z06. Much more bang for your buck.

I will say this, the 350z feels like a sports car despite the bit of slugishness due to the weight. (Like I mentioned before, it feels heavy). The interior of the car screams performance oriented and the seats really do keep you planted firm, which our ponies are seriously lacking in.
Throw in a 3K turbo kit to an 18K 350z and and the extra 80-120HP you add will put a smile on your face really really quickly. I am sure with some more minor mods you can catch that Z06 at the strip and maybe even on the track. (Not the 2006 Z06 mind you - that thing is unreal).

-just my .02 - hope you guys don't take citing other cars as blasphemy. LOL

A nice and fast "keep it real" car with good "look at me" power. New Lexus IS350. 0 to 60 in 5.2 Not bad :). Now for a lower priced 2 seater .. Plenty of modified Lightnings on the market nowadays :)
