2.3 horse power?

 I just bought a 2.3 EFI motor for my VW Fiberglass buggy. It weighs about 1100lbs, What can I expect in horse power ? Also what computer do I need, the motor came out of a automatic 1992 EFI Mustang non turbo. Dose it have to be an automatic or can I just buy the one for the standard . The cost is different at the parts storeby about $75-85. And I just ordered the wiring diagram from Helm Inc for about $18 . I will be only running an altanator and belt. I will have to get a header made for it to come out the back as it sit in the car as would a Air Cooled VW motor also using a K&N air filter. . If any one can help me I would be very thankfull.

I have actually seen the adapter to put the 2.X ford against the vw tranny and have thought about doing it heck i even have the full 2.3 motor harness ecu anwith full accesorys.. FYI not sure on the mustang motors but the rangers were supposedly like 130 HP at the flywheel as far as computers go i would use tyhe standard tranny ecu since you won't have the provisions for the tranny inputs. If you have any more q's let me know.
