Hey... I have some questions for you all.
I want to know know fast has anyone gotten a small pony.

Also what are the most modifacations you can put on a small pony?

The reason I ask is because I'm getting on soon.

What year/model/engine car are you getting? It all depends on how much $$$ you can pull out of your wallet.

Well it's a 99/convert/ I'm not sure aound the engine I have to check back with the person, they will be speaking to me soon.
Auto or manual.. I have a feeling it's manual. I've only seen the car ONCE and for only a few seconds.

I don't know the fastest someone has gotten a V6 mustang, but with a supercharger and dual exhaust your car should be respectable (like maybe high 14 second low 15 sec. 1/4 mile times, maybe even better) (non-GT's all came with the 3.8L V6). The problem with a convertible is that it is alot heavier than a coupe and so as a result is a bit slower. It's a good thing if it's a manual because an automatic 3.8L convertible is not particularly fast at all. Good luck, have fun cruising with your top down...wish i could!

14s is usually pretty easy to get to. But I have seen them things get into the 10s with alot of money put in.

When you say alot of money... you mean how much? I would like to see mine in the 10's but maybe 9's??? That would be nice.

can someone please explain to me what people mean when they say high 14s low 13s...ect... i got my stang now and i want to learn all the terms and everything

Well, I'm not totally sure myself, I wil tell you what I know.

When we say hi 14's low 13's or 11's & 10's we are talking about how fast your Stang can pick up speed. I'm not sure the range though, 0-60 or 0-80 or 0-100.I'm not sure, but I know it's your acceleration rate.

Can someone explain a little more, and I hope I'm right about what I said.

Unless you're part of a racing team or have $100,000 to spend i doubt you'll get your car to go 9's or even 10's. I think to get mid ten's in the 1/4 mile would require you with your weight car to have about 600 horsepower and be completely gutted with ladder bar suspension....basically with bolt on parts your could probably hit mid 13's for not a HUGE amount of money, but any more and i'd say you're looking for some serious funding.
Here's how 1/4 mile times basically work (i'm no expert, nor do i know much, but this is what i know -the times/mph i will give will likely be incorrect, but i'm just showing an example):
there's your reaction time which is how long it takes for you to move, which is not included in your 1/4 mile time, and then as soon as your car triggers some lights the clock begins. a 14.8 second car like mine goes 0 to 60 in 6.2 seconds and ends the 1/4 mile almost at 90 mph. a mid 13 second car goes 0 to 60 in like 5.0 seconds and ends the 1/4 mile at like 105mph and would absolutely WASTE a car like mine. as the 1/4 mile times get lower the miles per hour at the end go up quite a bit. So in reality, to get a V6 mustang in the mid 13's would take a bit of cash especially in a heavy convertible, but 13's are VERY respectable and it's pretty intense for a street car (more than enough power to overtake someone very quickly when passing).
If you ever get to go to a track, you'll see just how much a difference .5 seconds in the 1/4 mile makes, much less full seconds.

A high 13 would be something like 13.8 a low 14 would be 14.2 Its simply a measure of how long it takes your car to go a quarter mile from a standing start. What some people dont realize is going from a 20 second quarter mile to a 19 second quarter mile would be pretty cheap. So many people think, why isnt going from 10 seconds to 9 seconds easy? Its 1 second less in both cases? However, in the first instance, 20 to 19, represents a 5 percent decrease in time. A 10 to 9 is a ten percent decrease in time. My 150 hp 98 V6 will do the quarter in 17 seconds so it seems like a 300 hp cobra would do it 8.5 right? Nope, doesnt work like that. Its weird.
