You say winter tires.....are they studded? THat would make alot of noise.

Also your car has what is called an "open" differential (rear axle) so it will only spin one tire in excessive power situations. You can upgrade to a limited slip by getting one installed in your car and then you'd have 2 nice even burnout marks and twice the smoke when you do it
