If i were you, i'd just buy a V8 stang with engine problems and fix the engine problem instead. The GT's had stiffer suspension, better brakes, better cooling system, stronger rear axle/transmisison, etc. etc. It would cost you a fortune to try and swap it over to a 4.6L, a 5.0L wouldn't be bad, but unless you had another V8 donor car it would probably cost you AT LEAST 3,000 to buy the parts to swap over unless you found a ridiculously good deal.
