Default Re: 4cyl mustang i need power

When i had a '91 LX 2.3L, i remember - take off the intake tube and find something to either replace the entire thing (adapt a cold air kit) or use tubing or something to remove the intake air muffler in between the air box and throttle body, also removing the air box and taking off the silencer and cutting a bigger inlet hole into the front of the air box.

I think i may have heard you can adapt a 3.8L mustang throttle body to the 2.3L but i'm not sure.

'86 SVO 2.3L mustangs had single to dual low backpressure exhaust and they had chrome GT style tips at the ends. go to walker exhaust home page and you can search through their parts catalog.
A performance chip might help a little bit.

My '85 2.3L LX's acceleration improved ALOT when i swapped from the stock 3.27 gears to 4.10 gears - that's my biggest recommendation.

This is all i can think of at this time, hope it helps
