anyone have Dual exhaust on a 94-98 mustang v-6? I have heard that it sounds like a go-cart. What exhaust is best to use? Sould I drill out the cats?

I have dual exhaust on my '95 V6. It's with a pacesetter H-Pipe and Flowmaster's 2 chamber American Thunder mufflers. I think it sounds great, but the neighbors dont think so.

Pacesetter sells an adapter kit to fit a V8 cat-back kit onto a V6 Mustang. Install that, then pick the cat-back kit of your choice. It will sound different than a V8, but not like rice grinder 4 banger.

A 2 1/2' system is too big for a normally aspirated stock V6 stang. If you cut just after the cats and add a custom 2' pipe w/ some 2-chamber flowmasters. Unless you have over 200 HP don't go with a 2 1/2' system.
