87 Stang w/4 cyl. Thinking about a V8 conversion....
I recently acquired a 1987 Mustang LX with a ittle 4 cylinder in it. I would love to drop a V8 302 in it and take it to the drag strip. Any pointers and advice as to where to start, where to shop, and anything helpful hints would be great.
Some of the questions I am thinking of are: Will the stock trans work with a V8? If not, will a new one fit? Carburated or EFI? What should I worry about when it comes to drive shaft and rear end? Motor mounts? Is there a company out there that sells V8 conversion kits for this application? Thanks, Paul
