check engine light
Hello again, fellow stang lovers.
My check engine light keeps going on and off at various times. I changed my PCV valve, plugs, filters, trans oil, engine oil, fuel filter, plugs and belt. Any reason why this happens? Do you experience it alot? What is the best way to get rid of it aside from disconnecting the negative on the battery terminal. thanks again, chan |

First thing you should do is put a code reader on and see if the computer is producing any codes.

If you have a '99 or greater Stang, check this link out. '99 and up have built in code readers in the odometer.

MY check engine light would come on for a while and than shut off for a while. I used a code reader and it would not read it. I finally changed the CAM sensor and it stoped. It is a little peice that has a wire that hooks to one of your little bolts on your coil pack. it runs to the sensor that bolts on your block. two bolts total. The piece is really cheap. Any more questions please ask.
