Last summer i had mine in the lower 14's. But i had to sell everything just to help pay for college this summer My loans are out of control.
I've heard V6's running 12's...costs tons of money, but they can run really good. |

I am looking at putting an 8.8" rear end on my 94 v-6. I want 3.73's. How did you go about it? Buy it all as one or in sperate peices. How much did it cost. Was it an easy swap out? and most important was is worth it?

I got the whole package together at once...i'm not sure how much it would cost because i got it used off of a guy selling parts locally...i bought it off of him for just under 150 dollars. It was in pretty good shape still, i know some of the 3:73's can run up to nearly 200 bucks, and not sure how much it is for an 8.8 new. You'd be better off finding it used cuz it will cost ya installing it. I had it done at the local performance shop and lets just say they made some good money off of me. Me and my uncle ususally do it, but he didnt want to mess with my drivetrain.
Cliffsnotes- find the whole package used...if you get anything new, get the new 3.73's. Good luck bro- Any questions, i can answer them to my best But go for used!...thats what i did and thats how i afforded everything |

I need an upgrade BAD!!!
I've got a '95 v6, and it's hurtin'. I'm planing on replacing the entire motor, and I was wondering what would be the most ecenomical say $2000 or less, for a motor that I could get the most HP from. My existing motor sounds like it has a bad mainshaft bearing, and lifter, and I'm expecting it not to last much longer.
I want to show people this when I get my new motor in...

if your willing to go and change everything, you might as well drop in a V8...i'm sure you could find a wrecked GT at some junkyard and take that engine...i know around here, there's several wrecked fox bodies with 5.0's in them. That would be your best bet...if you replace the 6, why put in another 6 unless you'd rather have that
I'd advise you check for a used 5.0 or even a 4.6 |

Upgrade to v8?
I have given that alot of thought. if you check out my page, http://supersleeper.com you will see what I mean. My only problem is, I don't know where to look for the wrecked donor cars, and I don't know a qualified tech here in the SF bay area to do it. Any pointers would help.

Try your local junkyard or if there is any auto traders or Iwantas. They all have used engines. As far as machanics. Look around ask people that you know have had there car worked on. If you see some one with a hott car ask them where they got it done. Asking questions is the only way to find out.

GodStang a 8.8 with 3.73's and t-lok will make a big diff in your car... I am also going to upgrade my rear ,but think I'm going with 4.10's...Ford Racing has complete rears avail for appox. $700 not including shipping......... But if a person is mechanically inclined is not a very hard swap.... I have a 351M/400 setting in the garage I would just love to build and install in my car..
