Default new and in need of help

Hi, I'm brand new to this sort of thing being that my previous car was a Honda Civic, and my entire family has a undying hatred for the Ford Company. Anyway, I just bought a 1997 V6 dirt cheep, but also bone stock. It's not the greatest but I am a starving college student, it's all I could afford at the time and the Civic I had was a piece of ****!!!! Basically I want to know what I can do to the car to give me more hp but not put me in college for another four years. I am open to any suggestions, and please speak slowly I am still trying to get the whole mustang lingo. One thing I do need now though is a fuse diagram, if anyone has one that would be great. Of course it would be too much to ask for my car to come with one lol.

A CAI would be great for your car. Also gears, exhaust, underdrive pullies. I will see if I have a diagram at home.
