Default Heating/Cooling

I went the winter with only heat coming out of the defrost on high. Now its summer and my AC only comes out the defrost on high as well. Could this be a hose problem or perhaps something with my control switches?

I've heard it could be a lose vacuum hose under the hood near the passenger side where the heater hose goes through the firewall or a hose under the dah at the back side of teh control knob.

Does anyone have any advice? Could this be the problem? I don't want to spend alot of money on the winter beater!

I would go with a lose Vacuum hose. I have the same problem with my 1990 F-150. Just have not fixed it yet.
