![]() Howdy, is a 1982 Mustang II considered a "small Pony"? If not, where do I post questions concerning an alternator problem?

![]() Ok, thanks for answering ! It's about how to insure I hooked up the ammeter gauge, ( not voltage gauge, nor idiot lamp). I have just completed re-wiring what was supposed to be a '82 mustang II w/4 cyl. eng. It sits in a Kit car body of a '29 mersediez gazell. I had to buy a total harness from bumper to bumper, Surprizingly, everthing works, ( even the tach ) except for the ammeter. I've read every chilton & motorcraft book & still have no clue as to where a wrong wire may have ended up. Tomorrow, I plan to install a new regulator. The only wiring harness I could get aftermarket, without paying the price of a new car was one called " it's a snap ". Unfortunately, they only provide the gear, not the directions AND it was a chevy, ( horrrors !! he said the " C " word !!! ) harness to boot ! Any ideas , ( other than banishing me to another kingdom for saying the unmentionable ?)... thanks again..Walt, aka.. little brudder

![]() The Mustang II ended its run in 1978. It was sold between 1974-1978. If your vehicle is a 1982, you have a Mustang.
