stock 2.3 80 mustang rear end gears
i know my 80 mustang has a 7.5 rear end but i need to know the gearing of one with a 2.3. also how much would a 90 gt 8.8 rear end be worth with all of the control arms, and brakes, ready to put in a car.

Re: stock 2.3 80 mustang rear end gears
I bought an 8.8" for my 4 cyl. mustang and it was i believe around 300 dollars drum to drum. my 4 cyl. came with 3.27:1 gears, which is the lowest i've ever heard for a 2.3L. most came with 3.73 in the later models. It all depends on the options for that year. You should be able to read the tag. the tag on the axle cover usually says for example:
3 27 75 XXXX, as in 3.27 axle, 7.5" ring gear, XXXX is extra info. good luck
