Timing belt on 1990 with 2.3
I recently bought a 1 owner 1990 Mustang with 84,000 miles on it for only $350.00. It was in the process of having the timing belt changed. They only got to the point of disconnecting the battery and pulling the distributor. I have gotten everything changed and back together, but I have a couple of questions. Is it a real big deal if the belt is off by a tooth or two? If so what is the best way to remove it with out breaking it? I am pretty sure I know which marks to line up but any info on that would be great. Also does the distributor bolt down or have some type of clip that holds it in place? Right now its just in there and moves pretty easily. I am pretty new to this so I want to make sure I get this right. Thanks in advance for any help.
