Default 302 Stroker advise

i've got a 92 f150 ext cab 4x4 that needs the 100+k mile 302 rebuilt. i've got it apart now.. needs pistons etc. in more bang for the $ ideology, what can i do to get some more grunt out of this motor (ie stroker, ported heads etc) for $1k-$2k?
i really need some solid advise soon.
thanks,
jason

If your not worried about EPA stuff and you want some serious grunt under the hood .. Get a 351W and stroke it out to about 427ci ..

i'm afraid this one will need to pass the epa testing. i'm trying to get the most from what parts i already have (which isnt much).. a complete stock 302. Weight isnt a real big issue either (not worried about aluminum heads etc). keep those ideas coming though!

You need to look into Coast High Performance's new smog legal 347 street fighter stroker kit. It's in your stated budget and with a nice set of heads and a proper flowing intake will give you a huge boost in HP.

Browser the Coast stroker kits available in The Pony Shop..
