Default a hard-to-find rebuild a/c compressor?

Hi everybody,
I am looking for a rebuild a/c compressor for my Mustang '89, 4 cyl (2.3 L). I was told I may have aftermarket or dealer air, so the model of my compressor is HR-980. Any suggestions of where I can get it from?

Thanks a lot,
Victor

Try AutoZone. They can get almost any compressor you can think of, and for a decent price. If you have factory air, the sticker under the hood (near the emissions sticker) will say what kind of refrigerant and all of its specifications, with the Ford logo right on the sticker. Otherwise, if it's a dealer installation, a little tag somewhere on the compressor or one of the lines will say the name of the dealership, and probably something dorfey, like "inspected by Hank." I've yet to see a dealer installed a/c system around here. All I've seen are factory. Make sure you get the compressor with a new clutch. Good luck!
