1990 4c. cooling fan
my cooling fan for my radiator does not work but the motor of the fan is good but it doesn't come on. I went to ford part here and they gave me a map of the inside of the car to find the heat senser i want to now if its the heat senser or something else that makes the fan come on

I now have the sam stinkin problem, but I don't even know if the motor in my fan is good. I really need to know how toi fix this, because I came about five minutes from blowing up my radiator on the first warm day around here, because I left my car idling for about 20 minutes

Hey, I am having the same problem with my car too. As soon as it got hot out, the motor was running real hot. Could it possibly be a sensor??

I had this problem. It is most likely your fan relay which is located under the dash on the drivers side, it cost like $50 to replace
I got mine from the j/y for $3. Of course this is a common problem in 2.3's so you may want to put an aftermarket fan on. And to test the motor just hook the two wires on the batter. |

Jett is right about the relay, an easy way to tell if the relay is bad is turn on the A/C. If you have it, that is. That should automatically engauge the cooling fan, if it doesn't come on, that tells you the relay is bad. If it does, the temp sensor could be the culprit. I'm pretty sure it's located on the intake. If you wonder about the pretty sure part, I haven't had a 2.3L Mustang for about 3 years. When I did; however, I fixed everything on it.

come to find out it is the fan relay. I went to a parts store and found one for $30. I thank ya'll alot for helping me find the problem.
