Compression
Has anyone attempted upping cpmpression a little on a 2.3l turbo. I have an 88 TC that I plan on doing a major rebuild this winter. I already have a large exhaust, but this winter I will gut the exhaust manifold, port the intake, have the head ported, install a better cam, and possibly a 60mm throttle body. I know my IHI won't keep up but it's alot of money to find a decent garret vice rebuild my IHI. Plus I like the instant response of my IHI. But I was thinking during the boring if I had them straighten the deck and head by milling some off and thus increasing CR that with my mods the turbo won't have to work near as hard. Anyone tried this?
