Angry Y2K in the shop already

My girlfriend took delivery of a 2000 Mustang alittle less than a year ago and it is already in the shop. The problem started with an ignition coil. It was replaced - no problems. The next day, the check engine light *pops* on again and guess what? Its the coil again. Well, we take it back to Ford and they say they need to order a brand new ECU. Okay, the new computer is in, but the ECU is saying that its not reading the spark from the left side cylinders, but the car is running fine (from what the dealer says). The dealer is still stumped on why the computer is getting a bad read, but the car is running fine. Has anyone heard of this problem. The dealer has referred our case to Ford HQ - should start looking at the lemon law or what?

Thanks for your input!!!
