I need help!!
I have a 2000 V6 and I enjoy drag racing. And on the most part I can kill imports, but I'll occassionaly lose to heavily modified ones like preludes, mx-6, rx-7, and integras. However, I've never lost to a Civic SI until last week. He was pushing around 200 HP and is able to rev to 8500. So when I'm halfway through second and starting to pull ahead...he is just shifting to second and regains the lead. This was the biggest embaressment ever. LOSING TO A CIVIC!!
I currently have dual exhaust and a K&N air filter with the silencer removed (and I know that some new tires will help a lot). What can I add to give me more power in higher RPMs??? Is there anything fairly inexpensive I can do?? |

Nitrous. Cheapest, most powerful method. $500 for 60hp.
Or you could just buy a project car for cheap and have that as your "race car"... ------------------ 98 Mustang coupe 3.8L V6 87 Mustang GT hatchback 5.0L V8 87 Bronco XLT 4bbl 351W My mom drives a 99 Mustang GT convertable. |
