Default CAI Installed Whew!?!

Installed MAC CAI this afternoon. Tried to install a throttle body spacer but on the 03 it just would not all fit in. Spacer was about an inch thick and could not get the piece between the TB and the Mass Flow to fit. It just could not get past the strut on the passenger side and then the fender well piece would not match up either. Had to take it back out. Any suggestions?

The air filter is also difficult to get installed. If I didn't have ramps to put the car up on I would have never gotten under the car in a position to get it in place. Wonder how often it needs to be cleaned? Every 10K miles?

Wore me out but I can tell a difference in throttle response
