Default Biggest limiting factor in 2001 stang

my girlfriend just bought a 2001 6cyl convertable mustang. i drove it the other day and no matter what i did. i could not get it to burn out. this is pretty sad. a stang that cant fry the tires? whats going on here. what the biggest limiting factor in this stang other then its heavy. What could i do to the motor to give it more pep. only easy topend stuff $200.00 budget. what could i do?

Underdrive pulleys and a cold air kit would help. Gears would be a big improvement but are a lot of work to install (or expensive if you have someone do it for you).

look to the V-6 board for help in this problem. Besides having very limited HP you have gear ratio, weight of convertable, and a few other things going against you. The V-6 verts are for show only, unless you start adding blowers or major modifications. Sorry, but you aint burning tires for an extra $200.00 !

should've got a 4.6 then you could roast the tires.
