Default Supercharging an 85 V6 Mustang

I have an 85 convertible with a v6 throttlebody injection. I have noticed some Eaton M90 superchargers from 90's V6 Tbirds and Cougars since I don't have a couple grand to spend on a screw or centrifugal type supercharger I thought maybe the Eaton would be a fun project. The problem is that my V6 has throttle body injection instead of multiport which is what I think the 90's cars have. I have researched the disadvantantages of the Eaton type and don't expect massive power gains. Am I crazy to consider this or would the fuel injection type not matter all that much. Thanks guys from an old newbee.
