Exclamation Help Me!!!!!!!!!!

Hi i have just gotten a 1988 Mustang convertible with a 4cyl in it. I has the GT package on it so it looks nice. I was wondering if someone could tell me some ways of making the car faster and the cost of it.

Thank you

Unless you want to turbo charge it with the parts from a 2.3 turbo out of a merkur or turbo coupe (or turbo stang if you can find one) you would have to modify the engine internally.
You could change the cam, put on underdrive pulleys and a low restriction cat back exhaust for a few HP. Also check out www.superchips.com they should make a computer chip for your cars computer.

Cool

I've also found a source for built heads for the 2.3L ponies. Check out www.Powerheads.com for replacement heads if you want to go that route. I'm going with a better chip, powerhead's replacement head, sportier cam, and a easier flowing cat back system. Also check out www.RacerWalsh.com for more 4 banger performance parts. Hope this helps.

You can also order a free catolog ov evry hop-up out there from esslinger "esslingerengineering.com
one simple and verry cost effective way is install a roller cam from a ford ranger with stronger springs to increase torque thru-out the powwer band

You should save your money and drop in a better engine....no point in souping up a 4 cyl with like 90 horsepower...try and find a late 80's thunderbird turbo coupe that has the 2.3 liter turboed...or go with a V6 or V8 later on
