NA i'd say the 2.5L, but i'm not sure how big a stroke either have. I believe both engines are oversquare (bigger bore than stroke), the 2.5L is just a stroked 2.3L so the rod angle on the 2.3L may be better and so as a result will rev easier with less ring wear and frictional losses at high rpm. I've heard of high revving 2.3L's that have no problems turbo charged. It also all depends on what type of rods you get (stock cast/forged/H-beam, etc.) and how much money you're looking to spend and what you want to use it for. There's a company called Racer Walsh that sqecializes alot in 2.3L stuff, you can contact them at www.racerwalsh.com and they should have a good answer for you. Good luck.
