New rear end, stock driveshaft???
Can I use my original stock driveshaft with the Currie 9" rear I just ordered? I didn't even think about that until about a half hour after I got off the phone ordering it! I'm pretty sure I will be able to. I've never heard about having to swap the driveshaft. TIA.

I hope you're wrong Stang Runner! That will suck if I have to get a new driveshaft. Anyone know for sure?

It depends on which yoke is on it. More then likely it will fit. If not hit the junk yards.

I have an 8" rear right now. And it's a 9" Currie that I ordered. So the yoke's probably different.
And that's the bad thing, the 1 junkyard in my town has crap for Mustangs. I think they have a couple 65 or 66s. They do have a few Cougars though, not sure on the years of them. So does anyone know for sure what I'm gonna have to do here? ------------------ '69 Coupe with 351W ========================= Edelbrock RPM intake, Edelbrock RPM cam, Edelbrock 750 cfm carb, Edelbrock lifters, Edelbrock double roller timing chain, Edelbrock valve springs, Accel coil, Moroso Blue-Max wires, Hedman headers, 2 1/2" pipe, glasspacks, Flex fan, Lakewood traction bars, C4, 9" Currie on order, 290hp-stock heads ========================= The Surgeon General didn't say anything about smoking your azz!! |
