Im assuming it is a V-6???? You got a heavy mustang! Theres many things you can do to it.
Theres converting to dual exhaust w/hedder, cold air intake, supercharger, swaping the cam, i think you can stroke it too, throttle body, underdrive pullies, gears, a computer, almost anything that you can do to a v-8 can be done to a v-6. If you do use NOS do the smallest amount you can on a stock engine anything below 100 should be ok but 100 may be pushing it a little. Those are the only things I can think of right now.

Im not too familiar on cams and cranks in v-6 mustangs but I do know you can gain HP just by using crankshafts and other parts out of other ford vehicles, I;ll have to get back to you on that, Heres a list of websites that maybe useful in deciding what kind of mods you want

For more HP you can stroke the engine from a 3.8 to a 4.2 by replacing the crankshaft in the stang with one from an f-150 and use the manifold from a windstar since both v-6's are practically the same.
