Question any help is appreciated

I would like information on an 86 3.8 v-6. I just bought the car and it looks sweet but its lacking where it counts. Also. If anyone has info on swaping to a newer 5.0 i would really appreciate it. Thanks

I suggest you get a junked 94-95 5.0 if you plan on doing a swap. You will need to change transmissions and the k-member. You will also need to upgrade all the driveline components.

I have to disagree about the 94-95 advice. There are too many parts that won't fit properly. Far better to get a '93 or earlier to make everything a bolt-in proposition. The I4, V6, and V8 use the same K-member, it is the I6 that requires a different K-member.<p>
Hopping up the V6 is a tough proposition. There are almost no speed parts for it.

I have no clue why I said 94? Guess it was on the brain. I meant to say 87-95.
