Question 1994 3.8 Air conditioning compresor

I recently purchased a 1994 Mustang STD 3.8 convertible. I noticed that when I start the car the Air conditioning compressor will engage on and off even though I don't have the air conditioner on. This happens in a timed maner, I ve never seen this in any other of my cars and was wondering if it's normal. The pulley for the air contitioner engages and dissingages intermitently. Any feed back on this will be greatly appreciated . Thanks

Not sure on this but it may mean that you need to recharge your system. When my 94 did it I recharged the R-37a or what ever it is called and it stopped doing it. Just a thought.
