Question gears & pulleys

well its Christmas time and i plan on getting a lot for my car that i couldn't afford right away. My gilfriends getting my fog lights, so i think im going to get gears, probably 3.73, but my question is should i buy ford and have them installed by them also. I think thats what ive come to learn around here, and are 3.73 a good size to go with, its a daily driver but i cant aford my gt yet Also ill ask for pulleys, should i get a 2 pc or 1. Does MAC make a good kit for a 95'? what other things are good for a few hp, at a decent cost, i plan in doing dual exhaust later.

I would get Ford 3.73's. They go in alot easier which makes less chance of mistakes and gear noise. I have the MAC 2 piece on my 1994 and love it. Only problem is that I am pushing 2 12" subwoofers and it cuts my battery life. If you are not pushing subs than you will have no probs.
Hope this helps.

Some companies make underdrive pullies to underdrive most accessories but have a smaller pulley for the alternator (spins faster) so that it charges normally because it spins the same speed (slower crank pulley/faster alt. pulley = same speed) and i think on some that have that, you can use the stock size belt as well. That's the kind i'd personally get, but you won't get as much HP gain with it as one that underdrives the alternator as well.

Yes, 3:73 gears are a good start. I have a 95 Mustang, and I have the Mac Underdrive Pulleys on it, and I LOVE them. You can also run a cold Air kit on it, and a Dual Exhaust System with greatly help with a little increase in horsepower. Check out this web-site, I found a lot of cool things there. www.nthcoast.com, or email them at stang@nthcoast.com. They have been a get help to me.
