Default Tempo Upgrades???

Thanks for the advice with my exhaust question, to those who responded. If anyone out there knows any more ways that I can upgrade the '92 3.0L V-6 Tempo, other than the obvious(K&N, etc.), I would be extremely appreciative. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks.

I don't think K&N makes a filter for the Tempo, but you can do as I did and cut down a Mustang filter to fit. I cut the rubber seal off one side and end, removed enough screen and then glued the whole thing back together with silicone sealer. It has been working fine for over a year.

Changing to synthetic oil is worth a few HP and will clean up the inside of the engine. You can try advancing the timing a few degrees, but I found my wife's '93 to be extremely sensitive to timing.
