seat belt alert

I want to disable the seatbelt alert on my '01 because it just continually bothers me, I wear my seatbelt most of the time but I think it is unnecessary and annoying because there are times where I don't, especially when I just drive like half a mile to the store. Is there a good way to go about disabling it?

Read your manual, I believe there is a way to disable it there, I don't own one so I don't have a manual, sorry.
