HELP!!! CAN'T TURN!!!
My turn signals aren't working on my '87 LX... everything else is working fine on the multi-func. stick eg., wipers, hi-beams,washers, etc. I replaced the flasher relay and the 4-ways work fine..any idea's/solutions?

the same thing happened to my buddies 93GT converitble.
In addition to the blinker in the fuse panel, there is an additional relay. On his it was located behind the glovebox to the left. It was a $1.99 part, and took ten minutes to install. I wish I could remember what it was called though... Call and autoparts store, they may have it on their computer. I think the location may be different for 87-90....but it is in the Haynes manual. If you don't have one, get one....worth it. ------------------ 89 LX convertible, Blue/white/white. 5.0L 5 speed. wiggle your key switch and see if this helps.just turn it back a hair.it probably will work.if not verify power to the circuit.and start basic trouble shooting

to test to see if the turn signal realy is bad, take the hazard relay off, and plug it into the turn signal relay behind the glove compartment (two bolts removes the glove compartment) if they work, that was your problem. I went 3 days w/out turn signals, those haynes manuals are worthless. My turn signal relay for my old 4 banger was behind the glove compartment. Just somethin to try that wont cost a penny.

Thanks for your help. I appreciate it!!! I agree that the Haynes manuals are pretty much worthless...the turn signal flasher on my '87 is nowhere near the glove box...in fact, it is mounted to a bracket to the left of the steering column under the dash...it took me a few minutes of wire tracing, but, i eventually found it and now i can turn left and right at speeds under 50 mph without worrying about the guy on his cell=phone behind me!!!!
