Is anyone here running 2.3L turbos?
I am in the planning stages of building up a late 80s mustang with a setup similiar to the SVOs of '86. I wanted to get as much info as possible on these types of setups from people experienced with them. My questions regard which body style would be recommended, how much power can a 4-banger T-5 handle, what aftermarket computer programming setups are available/work, who should I turn to for internal engine buildup parts, etc.?
Please excuse my Ford ignorance, as I have basically had Camaros in the past. I have a lot of general car knowledge, and I'm an engineering student. I'm just weak on Ford specific details. Thanks. |

Ther are a lot of people with usefull info for you at elerts.com group; rrax mustangs.
Highly recommended sight for factual knowledge. I prefer coupes for race cars, but I am putting a 1985 Cougar 2.3 turbo in my 1987 Mustang LX Convertable if all goes well this winter. n_ackerson@hotmail.com |
