newbie here, just started yesterday on this great site/forum.
i'm off to buy a K&N air filter this weekend and would like to install it myself. is it easy to install or would i require special tools? it's the first time i'll be tinkering under my car's hood any recommendations? thanks!

The K&N air filter you need is #0940. Installation is simple, no special tools needed. Have fun. |

I dont know about the 2001's but on my 95' there two clasp's on the air tube that snap to the housing. Just undo those and pull the old air filter out and slide the new one in.
