Default Sensor on Airbox......HD CAI

I'm going to be installing a homemade/home depot CAI tomorrow. The one that I am doing is exactly the same as the one on www.mustangworld.com. For people who have done this where does the sensor on the airbox go?? You have to take out the whole unit, airbox and silencer, right? So where does that plug/sensor go? I don't want to screw up my girl's car. Thanks in advance

The last time (about a week ago) I followed the instrctuions on mustang world they where completely wrong. I would check into it first. I did putting in CAI and it was wrong. I had to redo it my own way. MY way cut the cost in half. Owell good luck.

You were right GodStang, the instructions didn't work. What steps did you take?

I used a 3 in. 90 degree elbow, and a 3 in. sleeve with clamps on both sides. I used a belt sander and sanded the elbow till it fit into the air filter. I used small L-brackets to attach the 90 degree to the air filter. I used than attached it to the MAFS. Have to put it in from underneith. Took less than an hour. Have anymore questions pleae feel free to ask.

It's funny, I adapted mine pretty similar to yours. I used a 3inch 90 degree ABS elbow and a 3 inch sleeve. I was able to clamp the sleeve onto the 1/2 inch sticking out of the MAFS. I then put the 3inch elbow into the sleeve and I bonded the 3 inch elbow to the air filter (E-0940) with JB Weld and let it sit all night. It seems to work very well and the whole filter is sitting inside the fender wall.
