Default 351 converstion...whats all involved?

im pondering a 351 swap..i see coast high performance has a swap kit for like 700 or so that includes oil pan motor mounts and headers...what else is involved in the swap besides the tranny?

how do i get it carbed? just rip all the computer stuff out of my car or what?

you have to get everything that you mentioned, headers, motor mounts, oil pan, and when you make it carb'd you are going to have to hook up all the guages, so all the ones that have nothing to do with the computer will work, but if there are any that go through the computer, just get aftermarket guages for. my friend put a 460(514ci) in his 89lx and just go aftermarket amp. guage

Can you not use an EFI 351? I would think that would be a better way to go. A little more expensive, but I'd think that it would be easier to maintain and last longer.

if you were going to fuel injected you would be better off just getting a fuel injected 351 out of a 94-95 lightning, or f150, and just get the whole computer and harness from the junkyard. i would think that would be the easier way to go anyway. just get a complete motor form the junk yard and putting aftermarket parts on it.
