Default Wheels & Tires

What are the widest rear tires and wheels that will fit on a 69 Mach1 without tubbs or modifying suspension? All help appreciated.

i have the same setup of wheels on my 66 coupe, 15-7 on front and 15-8 on back. i talked with a goodyear store owner yesterday and he suggested 235-60r15 for back and 205-65r15 for the front,,,,but the best thing to do is look at their catalog and it will give tire width and height in (normal terms), this will give you a good idea of what you can stuff into those wheel wells.

I have 15 x8 with 275 50 drag radials on my 69. so i know u can go that big. I wouldn't got any bigger than 275 though. Mine seem to just fit. there is someone on here that has like 300 something on his 70 mustang though.

I run 15 X 7 with 225/60R15 all the way around on my 68 Fastback.

Only time I have a problem is when I hit BIG dips and front wheels are turned. They will drag alittle.
