SVO Engine Miss

I was wondering if anyone has had the same problem I've had with my 86 SVO, with the boost switch in the regular position and 9 PSI of boost the car runs fine. With the switch in the premium positon the car surges between 12 and 16 pounds. It started this after it had sat for 6 six years untouched. It has 67000 miles on the clock and is all original. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks Jim

The only thing that I can think of would be to check the pressure operated switches that retard the timing. I had a problem with mine just like that, and if the fuel wasn't up to spec. the timing would bounce up and down, creating a very embarassing situation. If you can find it, try using some 100 octane 76 brand unleaded (mixed 50/50 with 92 octane)and see if the problem still persists. Then go for the pressure switches.
