Swapping to 4.10's. How much better do you think I'll run?
I should have the gears in before the end of this week. Just curious to find out what everybody estimates I'll run. I went to the track (1/8th mile) the weekend before last with my stock 2.73's in and ran about 10.20 average. My 60 fts are usually 2.30's and my mile/hour is anywhere from 72.8 to 73.0. I'm hoping to knock off a half second atleast. I'll let you know what I really run this Friday night hopefully if I get it together real soon.
Later, James

I would say like 4-5 tenths of your 1/4, maybe more, but I wouldn't guess that would be the case.
Thanks, DoranW

I disagree...if you were getting 2.3 60ft times with 2.73's...Your 60ft time will really go all to hell now. Most likely 3 tenths if you can find some traction..

With 4.10s I think he can launch from 2nd with some tire spin on street radials and keep his low 60' time. I am still sticking with my 4-5 tenths!! (But I could very well be wrong
Thanks, DoranW

Tire spin has never been a problem for me especially at the track I go to. It's very well maintained. I don't see how I won't hook up with the new gears. I think it'll hook fine. I thought 2.3 60ft times were s****y. What's up with that? There's a guy in a camaro out at the same track and he runs 8.9's consistently and doesn't spin at all on STREET TIRES.
Thanks, James
