An even better question: why would you even bother with a V6 when a V8 is a virtual drop-in??? If fuel economy is a concern, you have the wrong vehicle altogether. V8 parts are very easy to come by, and you won't have to have many custom parts made. The V8's you should look at are the 289, 302, and 351. You will have to get a new converter housing for the V8, as the inline-6 is a bit different. Again, very easily found part. Hope this helped, I'm tired...so tired...
