V-6 Mustang Question

I am considering purchasing a stock 2003 V6 Mustang Coupe. One quick question - does anyone know when the speed governor clicks in for these vehicles or what the top attainable speed is...nothing exact, a ballpark figure would be fine?

Thanks.

I think 145 MPH

I have an 02 and I don't think my spedometer even goes over 120-130?? Never taken it higher than about 115.

The speedo does not go over 120 so you have to dead peg it. I read somewhere that it is no more than 145mph. I can try and see what my car hits if you want me to???? hehehe

Haha, if you want bro...jk.

But it's definitely higher than the usual 110mph, correct? Of course, I don't ever plan on going this fast, but I'm just curious.

i have a 2000 v-6 mustang a stick too and i got it up to 117 near 120 i know that for sure i was like noo so close to 120 damn governor but i think it depends if its a stick or auto cause my nephew has a automatic and his went 110 cause of it but his was also a 97-98 v6 mustang

Thanks for the help everyone. A lot of people have told me the governor cuts off the speed at 120mph so I guess it's accurate.

I'm getting my Mustang next week! :)
