Is your car the one with the white hood?

Ackbar00 03-21-2004 08:46 PM

Sky, you put it to him again:D

Damn sky you pasted his ***!

white hood yeah. I put the stock hood back on today though. Going to get my car dyno tuned pretty soon. It feels fast, but it just doesnt feel as fast as I was hoping.

Damn!! You did kill him! Makes me want to race you or maybe I'd have better luck racing him.. :p

Only thing I can't figure out is why the hell you went with shorties??

I noticed the same thing about my buddy's new Mach - I think it's the lack of low end that makes them feel slower. My car feels alot faster than his through most of the rev range, but when we race it's pretty even.

The new machs have a TON more lowend and about 30-40more ft/lbs of torque than a 99/01 cobra.

My car is feeling quite a bit faster now, I think the comptuer needed a little time to learn.

I went with shorties, because if I ever break a transmission it will be 10x easier to pull it out, and while they dont make as much power across the band, these jba shorties only dynoed 3rwhp less than longtubes.

I guess I'm just used to my 2V powerband. I was pretty impressed with the Mach, tough. My friend let me drive after it got broken in to show him how to launch it. Bone stock it barked the tires on the 3-4 shift at 105mph!
