mass air conversion?
i am mulling the idea of upgrading to gt40 heads and intake. do i need to convert to mass air? i have an 88' 5.0

As long as you stay with the stock cam you wont have any problems.
Get an adjustable fuel pressure regulator and up the fuel a little bit if it starts to surge. |
No matter what you do mass air will always give you better driveability. Better mileage and starting and running. If you have that option go ahead and do so. Also down the line chips and other things like PMS to adjust fuel and timing are all based on the mass air signal.
