10.76 @ 126??!!??!!??

Just for the hell of it, I went and put in my HP goal and the weight of my vehicle, and that is what it told me. Well, if any of you guys can get your car to 2200 lbs and 350whp, that is what you can run.

Just for giggles, try plugging in something like 9900 pounds and a 2.5 sec ¼-mile time. It comes up with something like 500,000 horsepower, hahahahaha. Yeah, the 350 BHP isn't the hard part, getting to 2200 pounds is though. Fiero, anyone? http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/wink.gif

I think Inferno is thinking CRX.

2200lbs? In a Mustang? Hmmmmm.... I dunno if that's possible. Hehe. It's a good goal though.

the 120mph sounds ok...but i think the et is a little off. due to wind resistance and such.

Why would anyone want to own a Fiero besides for making a kit car? Those things overheat badly. I know you can cram a 350 in that engine bay, but you have to really, really address your cooling system if you plan on driving it hard. And to get my car to 2200lbs, I would have to add weight http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/wink.gif

Hehe, yeah, I was just mentioning the Fiero 'cause my best bud across the street has one. We put a new 2.5L in it last fall and he just got it running good again. In fact he's redoing the interior, and it looks pretty hoss right now. I was thinking 2200 pounds since I remember being able to push that car uphill all the way to his garage from the road. 350 HP with a 2.5L? Bwahahahahaha! Oh well, he wants to get a turbo kit for it. I suggested NOS. http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/rolleyes.gif

I plan to get 350hp with either a 1.8 or a 2.0 liter engine. Turbo kits are wonderful!!

Actually Inferno... There is a guy on here 8850 hes around 2300-2400lbs race weight in his LX mustang with a N/A motor. I think he puts out just over 315rwhp or something. I don't remember the exact numbers, but its around there. He runs high 10's at 120+

You guys ever see the ad for Factory Five Racing in the rags? They sell a kit car, an old AC cobra. All the drivetrain parts bolt in from a Mustang. Anywho, friend of mine's dad built one, but with the drivetrain from an old mustang. like a 67 or something. 289, top loader 4 speed, and a nine inch rear. After everything is said and done, the car ran 11.5's at 110, Naturally aspirated. With 300 HP to the rear wheels. The car weighed 1900 pounds!

inferno: We're talking about a GM TBI speed density 2.5L cam-in-block with stock everything. Those motors are the reason the older Grand Ams you see on the road sound like a St. Bernard in a blender under the hood. All that valvetrain noise is nasty in the summer with the windows down & the system up, then there it is idling next to you. Ugh....

No doubt a properly tuned import motor can make more power than that!!! http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/smile.gif

Yeah, those engines are dogs alright...but I guess Fiero owners think that they are king of the "pocket rockets" and always revved on me in my CRX.....they also always got a look at my taillights http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/biggrin.gif I was fortunate not to run into one with a 350 in it though....that would have been scary http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/eek.gif
