Damn Suburu!!! I knew they would find some way to kill all of the turbo 4wd fun!!! The new US version of the WRX is only going to have 227 horsepower, but the real story is the fact that it is a ULEV vehicle!!! We don't need 3 catalytic convertors.....two would have passed emissions and freed up some horsepower....why does the rest of the world get a slightly bigger turbo with more boost and variable intake timing? Well, at least it's a start......

Well cats are easy enough to get rid of and you can always crank up the boost. http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/smile.gif The lack of valve timing is pretty piss ant cost cutting though.

My biggest concern would be how shamefully ugly that thing is. Its bad enough that i'd buy an older, higher mileage 2.5rs and work that over. An opinion.. but its mine http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/wink.gif

Actually, that is a better option seeing that you can get it for cheaper and with the addition of a turbo kit, and a well sorted suspension you would kill a WRX(more displacement equals more torque). But it is nice to have a warranty and a factory turbo.

I know! I think it's ugly as he11! Me and a friendwent to look at them b/c he is going to buy a new car. He is thinking about shellingout $24k for that think! I said, NOOOOOO!!! For that much you could get a cherry 98 cobra with a blower and mad stereo or what ever else he wants.
