figured out oil leak after 3 years!!Please read

OK, i went to get an oil change today and i finally figured out where the leak was coming from. If you look into my engine, on the left side corner of the head, it leaks when you put in oil. Its weird cuz if you do it the conventional way through bottles, theres no pressure which throws the oil, while the way they do at at my oil shop there is pressure because it comes through a high powered hose which causes it to leak a little.
So, they usually put in a 1/4 of a quart to 1/2 quart more to solve this problem. Now heres the problem. Why is it leaking out of there?
What could the problem be? I will have pics soon to show you exactly where the problem is coming from. Its right near where you deposit the oil, on the left side corner closest to us when you look into the engine. Please help.

blown5.0,

Sounds like a valve cover problem...
Maybe a bad seam on the oil filler neck where it meets the cover or maybe just a leaky gasket or it could be drizzling out of the breather tube connection that runs to the intake.

Why don't you pull up the valve covers, inspect the filler neck and replace the cover if the seam is bad. Clean everything up, reassemble with new gaskets and you should be good to go...

Are you talking about between the valve cover and the head or between the head and the block? Anyway if it's the valve cover gasket, all you need to do is clean it up and replace the gasket... good luck.

Its between the valve cover and the heads. WIll this effect my car in any way? Can it lead to bigger problems in the future or is it a minor problem. Like i said, it only happens during oil changes.
